Which Type of Converse
Should I Choose?
One of the most
widely recognised shoe brands, Converse are popular items of footwear for the
young and old alike. There are so many different types of
Converse available that it can be hard to find the right pair for you – so
what options are there?
High Tops
The classic pair
of boots; these appeal to many people as they are the stereotypical image associated
with the brand. They can be easily dressed up or dressed down and are an
alternative to standard trainers. They can also be argued to give the wearer
more support than other shoes as they go up the ankle and this feature may also
make these shoes more appealing. Really, if you’re looking for the classic
baseball boots, these are the ones to go for.
Low Tops
These are
marginally cheaper than high tops, so if you’re desperate for these boots
without the hefty price tag, low tops might be the way forward for you. Some
people have the view that low tops are better for the summer and may also look
more relaxed than high tops.
Colours
The other thing
to consider when choosing these boots is the colour or design - and it can be a
very hard choice to make. You can get them in practically every colour you
could imagine and you want to be sure you choose right. While the neon pink
pair may seem very appealing when you buy them, do you really have any clothes
that would go with them?
Unless you’re
going to buy thousands of pairs of boots, you need to think practically about
your colour choice. You don’t want to buy something that you’ll grow out of or
tire of quickly, so sticking with classic colours such as black and navy are
always recommended.
Other colours
such as neon pink or yellow may not be such a practical choice but they are
perfect for those looking to inject some fun into their outfits. The colour of the
boots may also depend on the occasion you're wearing them for. Parties and
social events may appreciate the bolder patterns and designs whereas more
formalised occasions will not.
Remember that
converse shoes can be worn with both smart and casual outfits, making them
incredibly versatile. Always consider the type of use your shoes are likely to
get before buying them and try and match them to existing outfits. Always check
the fit of the shoe prior to purchase and ensure your chosen footwear provides
support and comfort as well as style.
